Chinmaya Mission Kozhikode

Chinmaya Mission Kozhikode was established in 1954 by the local disciples of the great visionary, Pujaniya Swami Chinmayanandaji. Staying true to Advaita philosophy and Gurudev’s teachings, the mission is continuing its journey and spreading the profound message of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads while actively contributing to the social and educational upliftment of the community. The present Acharaya of the Kendra is Pujaniya Swami Jithathmananda Saraswathi.

सर्वं कर्माखिलं पार्थ ज्ञाने परिसमाप्यते ॥ (BG 4.33)

Krishna compares the dravya yajna- the sacrifice of material oblations – with jnana Yajna and declares that, for cultural self-development, jnana-Yajna is nobler and diviner than mere formalistic ritualism with material offerings ( Dravya-Yajna)
As per Gurudev Bhagavad gita give answer to the questions such as: What is the goal of life? How should one live life so as to achieve that goal? What is God? what is the relationship between God and man?

This center is regularly conducting Jnana Yajnas by making use of the active organizational capacity of Temple committees. Jnana Yajnas are five days series of 1 1/2 hour public discourses on Bhagavad Gita given by an Acharya of the Chinmaya Mission.

Chinmaya Mission's teachings are based on Advaita Vedanta, as propagated by Shri Adi Shankaracharya. This philosophy emphasizes the One Reality, advocating the understanding of one's true Self.

Kozhikode Chinmaya Mission is operating a book stall adjacent to Chinmaya mission school. You can come and purchase on any working day during the period 9AM -4PM.

Participation in grassroots activities like Bala Vihar, CHYK, Study Groups, and Yagnas is free of charge. However, camps, workshops, and specific events may require nominal donations.

The Mission primarily relies on donations and contributions from general public and beneficiaries of its activities. Most of the work and activities are done by Mission members and well wishers. Kozhikode Chinmaya mission school is at Thondayad. It is a half a century old unaided English medium school with Kerala syllabus. classes start from Nursery to 12th standard.

Kozhikode Chinmaya mission has got an auditorium with 1000 seating capacity and a fully equipped large kitchen and a mess hall with 500 seating capacity. Only on sundays and school holidays it is given on hire. To book the auditorium, kindly contact our Chief Sevak @ Ph: 94465 42244.
