Kozhikode Chinmaya mission is one of the oldest chinmaya mission in the country. Gurudev Chinmayananda delived a number of Gita jnana yajna in the city, first being 1955.

The centre commenced after Gurudev’s yajna in 1985. Swami Jithathmananda Saraswati is taking care of the affairs of Manjeri Chinmaya mission. It is the only centre in Malapuram District and it is because of this centre that Lots of Gita Jnana yajna is conducted in various parts of Malappuram Distirict.
